That enrich our journey

To the edge

Get ready!  The train is about to depart for it’s next 365 day journey!   Hurry up and get on board!  You are in for the journey of a lifetime…

You will need to pack a bag that is armed for adventure.  Exploring the many stops along the way will be challenging and growthful.  Opportunities to learn, grow, and build new skills will abound if the spirit is willing.  It begins with a commitment, and by saying yes.  Yes to change.   Yes to “growing through life” opposed to just going through life.

This train will proceed full steam ahead, exploring new places and meeting many new faces.  Will you take advantage of each day? Are you ready to build great relationships?  Will you put in the time it takes?

An investment in your journey, is an investment of time.  The time bank has 365 days remaining this year.  How will you spend yours? Invest wisely in each passing day because it is the only way that time can pay.

The journey is the destination.  And we are at destination station.  Please join me…as we go over there.

I’m calling out to you: “All Aboard!!”

Like a constant companion, our shoes will take us where ever we go in life.  They are there, on our feet every step of the way.  They provide us the comfort and support we need to proceed through the twists and turns of life’s long and winding roads.  The strength of our shoes will see us to the top of the most challenging uphill climbs.  The souls of our shoes will endure the pain and suffering of the bottom of the deepest lows and hottest valleys we will journey through. They will carry us over the many many miles of life we will walk. 

Just like people, shoes come in all shapes and sizes. They are cut from different fabric and are created in every color.  An exceptional pair of shoes will share the moments of our life like a really good friend.  Other shoes are a fad or for fashion, or better yet,  part of a trend.  A pair of well made shoes will take great care of you.  They will remain by your side, aging alongside of you.

Shoes will bare witness to every step that we take.  They will share the times we walk down the trail to the lake.  The countless miles.  The beauty of smiles of people we meet along the way. 

Shoes walk a loyal walk.  And they talk a purposeful talk.

Though you may try them on….

you won’t understand where we’ve gone…

unless, you have walked…

in my shoes.

As I sit at LaGuardia Airport waiting for my flight to Ft. Lauderdale Florida, how appropriate is it that today’s blog is the letter J; and my choice for J is the word  journey!!  I know many things about my destination.  The weather. The beaches. even some of the people there, as I visit somewhat frequently. What I do not know is about the details of my journey. How will it unfold?  Where will I eat?  Will the weather be so so or spectacular?  Who will I meet?  

This concept of the journey is  the same when it comes to our lives and our businesses.  There is so many spiritual and religious practices that are focused on all of our eventual destinations.  But what about our journey here and now?

I choose to carve my own trail with my life, my work, and my career.  It is the road less taken. In my case the fulfillment of dealing with constant challenges, potential problems, and the fear of failure is what I want my journey to be.  Doing new things. Learning to accomplish the unthinkable.  Why four years ago I was a web zero.  I have gone from zero to hero oh so quickly! 

New platforms, channels, and ways to connect make our journey so different then before.  As business people we can launch into media, connecting with our customers, and everyone online.  There are NO gate keepers controlling our message.  We must not limit ourselves either. 

We have endless possibilities.  We are filled with untapped potential.  The destination will always be there.  Let your own journey transport you to a life you never thought was possible.

Everything must change. The young become the old. The journey of our lives will unfold. As the cold winter drifts away, the winds of change are heading our way. The arrival  of spring reminds us each year of the newness and freshness of new growth.  It is a time when our senses are filled with the sights of blossoming bushes and the bursting colors  of spring bulbs. The fresh scents of all this new growth.  The sounds and songs of birds returns again. The annual cycle comes around once more.

Our lives are busy, filled with so many daily distractions.  We live in a world of endless information and complexity.  Children are born into a world where they are taken care of constantly.  Their physical growth happens before our very eyes. Turn around for a moment, and they are all grown up it seems.  They have become young adults,  growing ever so swiftly towards adulthood. Just as a planted garden springs suddenly skyward from the ground below.

We emerge as adults, perhaps facing the world for the first time. What should I do?  Where should I go?  How do  I find my purpose?  Do I fit in?

We should do what we love. Paying attention to all the signs along the way is key. Discover your passions! Unlock your talents! Share the most unique gifts you own with the world.  You are the only “you ” there will ever be. A unique and special being filled with unlimited potential. The power of you.

So, go where your heart goes, sharing all you know  about life, about love, and about yourself!
