1. “Like Water”

    I have this ocean

    Running deep inside

    Always in motion

    Like the ever changing tide

    I flow like water

    Pouring out into the sea

    Constantly moving

    An ever changing estuary

    I am a river

    Always running wild

    My emotions flood

Like the tears of a child

  2. “Making Something Out Of Nothing”

It doesn’t matter what I’ve got

I never worry about what I’m not

For I will take what little I have

    There’s not too much I won’t give a shot

    <> <> <> <> <> <>

I always try my very best

And I measure my success in happiness

The things I do bring me such joy

I’m living for the journey and the quest

    <> <> <> <> <>

I’m going to be all that I am meant to be

No one can take that away from me

I’m making something out of nothing

Where I once was blind, now I clearly see

  3. “The Importance Of Being You”

You touch more lives than you will ever know

Things that you say and do everyday impact people in so many ways

Your ideas and passion spark creativity all around you

Few will ever tell you how much they admire you, though many do

The dynamics you have with others can never be replaced

People copy you, repeating the words you have told them

To those who love you,  you are irreplaceable

One person, just like you, can touch the lives of millions

You are meant to do great things

If you do what is in your heart,  you will do it better than anyone else

You were born with the keys, so unlock the doors to your potential

The times you say yes, when other would say no, defines you

Like a comforting warm blanket,  your love envelopes all who know you

To your friends and family, you are a humble hometown hero

The kindest of words seem to effortlessly fall from your lips

Gestures of kindness and generosity are telling of your character

You always put others before yourself, even when you are in need

When I think about you, I smile

When I think of who my role models are,  you come to mind

Of all the people I am honored to know, you are the one

I am so happy to know a person like you

I am thankful to have you in my life

You are an incredible human being who deserves to be told how special you are

I hope one day, you will come to know, just how important,

the importance of being you is…

  4. “Lessons To Be Learned”

Everyday we are challenged by obstacles that appear in our paths.  Learning how to manage and negotiate them is an art.  It takes time and requires skill building.  For each one of these “problems” provides us with the opportunity to learn something new.  Our success and potentiality lies in how well we learn how to solve the toughest challenges life deals us.

Our expectations need to be in alignment with our realities.  Planning for the worst possible outcome will ensure our readiness to manage should a crisis occur.  A strategy geared for 100% success and more should be followed.  Why not shoot for the moon?  At least you will end up somewhere in the stars!  More often than not, things turn out somewhere in the middle.

Understanding that conditions are rarely optimal, variables must always be considered.  Unexpected things will come up, even when we have carefully crafted a solid plan to be executed.  Flexibility is the glue that will seamlessly bind together so many aspects of our pursuits.  Without flexibility, we cannot respond to criteria that by nature, is always in flux.

Information is key to making knowledgeable decisions.  By listening we are educated about the things we do not know.  The ability to make powerful decisions takes practice, and a huge amount of experience.  It is through failing over and over that we gain experience.

Striving for win-win-win outcomes, in which all the parties involved, feel satisfied with the results, is optimal.   We are as strong(or weak) as our capabilities of problem solving.

WE must learn how to scale life’s many obstacles by figuring out how to deal with them straight on.  Otherwise, we will come to a dead stop, as we hit each and every bump in the road.

On our rise to greatness, we will fall.  How we get up and continue on defines us.

The path to the positive is paved with so many lessons to be learned.

  5. “Empower Yourself Now”

Our daily lives tend to repeat themselves, day in and day out, playing out the same formulaic patterns.  The more comfortable we get, the more we loathe change.  If we are to grow, change is inevitable.  Every choice we make come with an opportunity cost. In choosing a new direction, we are selecting growth over repetition. By opening a new door, we are closing an old one.

We all get stuck in patterns  that keep us where we are, often without even realizing it. The challenge is to recognize what is going on in our lives, so we can assess the situation and make decisions based on that information.

Are you happy and satisfied with your career?  Are you involved with sports, activities, and hobbies that you love being part of?  How are you spending your time?  Do you love the relationships you have built with friends, family, and colleagues?  Stuck in any bad habits or lack motivation?

Taking action to change any of the above takes a firm commitment on your behalf, and the desire to live a more fulfilling life.  Begin by listening to your inner voice, the one that talks to you all the time.  Those gut feelings or intuition you have are useless if you do not make use of them.  Have a hunch about something?  Act upon it!   Want to finish(or start) that degree you need to advance your job or make that career change?  Do it!

Stand up tall, looking at yourself in the mirror, and say, I can do this.  Stop talking.  Start walking the walk.  Step by step, creating change, growing, and moving towards a future filled with promise, you will march.

Every single success story begins much the same way, with an idea, with risk, and with the potential of failure.   It is scary but you can do it.  The cost of doing nothing is your future.   The rewards of taking risks, pushing out, and living the life you deserve to its fullest, is success.  And success is priceless!

    “Perceive, believe, persist, achieve”

    What are you waiting for?

    Empower yourself now!!!

  6. “Sparkle”

    You light up any room.

    Dispelling the darkness and gloom.

Like a diamond in the sun.

    Your precious heart touches everyone.

Just as each morning brings a new sunrise.

I see such great promise in your eyes.

You are a gift that keeps on opening.

Like the beautiful songs the angels sing.

Your radiance ripples like reflections upon the waves.

Sending shimmers that sparkle and amaze.

  7. “Inspire”

To be the cause that ignites the spark.

Casting vibrant light into the dark.

To be the force of friction that feeds the flame.

Seemingly reckless but with precision and aim.

To purposely feed the fire inside.

Stoking great passion that has been denied.

To dispel the cold with such radiant heat.

    Discovering victory after punishing defeat.

To see the flames burn higher and higher.

Following my hearts call to inspire.

  8. “Relationships”

Recognizing the people who touch your life in a special way.

Engage with as many people as you can each day.

Learn from everyone who comes across your path.

Appreciate the gift each person is in your life.

Treat everyone with the respect and honor they deserve.

Inspire everyone to dream big dreams.

Open your heart and hand to the world.

Notice the beauty within people’s hearts.

Share as much as possible with everyone.

Help others with all you have to give.

Invite people to join in on life’s great opportunities with you.

    Play well with others.

Surprise people with your generosity of spirit.

  9. “I Write”

I am a spirit in flight.

    I am constantly in motion.

My enthusiasm runs over like an erupting volcano.

My passionate fire burns deep inside my heart.

I stand at the center of the storm.

I can deviate from the norm.

My mind races quicker than the speed of light

My thoughts are as uncontainable as the oceans.

I am a river running wild.

I am like an untamed child.

My lines are meant to be read between.

    My stories do unfold.

I am a composition of both dark and light.

I am an instrument for the words I write.

  10. Business of You: “What Rocks Your World” (part 4)

    1. That feeling when all of your senses seem to be stimulated, your heart is pumping full throttle, and every nerve is aware, is beyond memorable.  It is unforgettable and can be life changing.  Those moments and times that touch us so deeply in such a special way.  It is from these incredible experiences that we find what really moves us.

The things that move us can be large or small, grand or tall.  It can be the way a concert or piece of music touches our spirit, making us soar.  Perhaps it’s the lessons of a great teacher that stay with us, helping shape our course in life.  A friend who lets us know how special we really are or family member who believes in us so strongly.  A sporting event…or the big championship!  The beauty of the arts.  The characters in a movie, a book, or from real life.

The important thing here is recognizing those people, places, and things.  When did it occur?  How did you feel?  What was the feeling like at the time?  And the bigger question is….How can you incorporate these experiences into your life?

The things you love that make you feel so alive are worth exploring.  They are your calling.  You will never feel greater purpose or achieve greater results than when doing something you are passionate about.  No one will perform better than you, when you do the things that fill your heart with joy.

No need to look deep inside here.  The simple joy of feeling so alive….in the pleasure of a beautiful moment.

Capture the energy and use it in your life…

      Share it through your work…

Engage us with……what rocks your world….
