1. “The Things That Touch Us In Immeasurable Ways”

In a world driven by data, where technology seemingly trumps all topics, I’ve been feeling the call of the simple things that touch our lives.  The immeasurable things that touch our body, mind and soul.

The feeling we get when someone just says,” Hi, how are you today?”  with that sparkle in their eyes and a genuine smile upon their face.  When that person stops and pauses to actually listen to our answer(without looking at their cell phone), it’s a delight.

The rush of emotions in motion when I hug my mom tightly.  It fills me with an unexplainable joy and sadness at the same time. Joy that I can feel such warmth and connectedness to her through such a simple gesture.  Sadness for the loss of my dad, and left wondering when the last time my mom has felt the loving touch of a kiss, a hug, or the warmth of a hand.

I love the way great music can make our spirits take flight, transporting us right out of our bodies.  It lifts the emotions.  The intoxicating rhythm of the instruments.  The soaring sounds of a soulful singer.  It can set our heart and imagination on fire.  Spirits fly on…..

We touch each others lives in so many immeasurable ways.  It is such  a blessing to recognize the “little” things that happen.  The holding hands.  The inspiration we feel after a great speech.  The voice that says “I care” just by it’s tone.  The kind deed.  The philanthropists gifts that touch our communities.

The passion found in people’s eyes.

The warmth of the breeze blowing by.

Moments that make you stop, and sigh.

The times we have to say goodbye.

The beauty of tears when we cry

The immeasurable dynamics between…. you and I.

  5. I Am A Social Pioneer

I am an explorer at heart.  An explorer who loves amazing new adventures.   A social creature who thrives on meeting new people and learning about their lives, their cultures, and their passions.  My pioneering spirit guides me through new challenges, new opportunities, and onto new frontiers.  I am a person who says yes, I can, with very little energy spent on fear and doubt.  I dive in…..taking chances.

In many ways I am an untamed spirit, more at home on the road, then in my own house.  My constant is change.  If things remain the same in my daily “recipe” for too long, I grow somewhat apprehensive.  I expect to be challenged, forced to grow by people who ask me to be more than what I am today.

Four years ago I was a web “zero’ who’s email and majority of web activities were handled by employees.  My pioneering spirit urged me to dive in, just pick a point and begin my exploration.  I, of course, jumped in………..right into the deep end.  No life jacket.  Sink or swim!  I had no idea what I was doing online. I was an explorer with no direction.  A guy just hitting and clicking to say, “I know what I am doing.”

In February of this year, 2010, I was contacted via email by Google.  Yes, Google!  They told me I had been selected by them as a pioneer of new media and the web, and that they wanted to come to Connecticut and film a video with me.  I immediately called the phone number in the email, making sure this was not just some kind of a joke!  It was for real….  I felt like I had gone from “web zero to web hero.”

Lately I have been hired by groups to speak on social media.  The social part is a natural, as I love people, and sharing with them.  The new media part is still such a pioneer’s game.  It is a game that I love playing.  It’s about you. It’s about me.  It’s about all of us..together!  Exploring and engaging!  Connecting and communicating!  It’s a new day.  So…

Join me, as I embark to places I have never been before….
