Daring to listen

To the voice within

Against all odds

Avoiding logic and

Reason, saying yes

Walking boldly into

Fear and the unknown

When the heart says

Yes, your pulse quickens

Deep down inside

Digging for a strength

You have yet to know

Heartbeats like a drum

So you opt to let go

And find the courage

To follow your heart

My spirits still rise, though I may fall

Pointed with intent, I will stand tall

I lean purposefully forward into my life

Fighting a world that cuts like a knife

Like the pioneers before me, I blaze trails

Armed like a warrior, my spirit never fails

Free from the prisons of emotional slavery

I choose courage and the spirit of bravery

There is no danger, but merely perception of danger

Because I remain open, things pass right through

A heart so soft, learns how to keep from breaking

Through knowing fear, my fearlessness takes shape

The bravery of warriors, knows sadness and tears

My strength, lives in my flexibility and tenderness

Being both soft and hard, I bounce without breaking

By going beyond fear, I experience fearlessness
