1. “Upon A Canvas Of White”

    I write

Upon a blank canvas of white

    I see

    An endless sea of possibility

    I sing

    When no one is listening

    I dance

Every time I get the chance

    I hope

Clinging to the end of the rope

    I pray

In my own private kind of way

    I look

Beyond the cover of every book

    I find

    Excitement in every different kind

    I fly

Higher, the more that I try

    I leap

Into moments that, forever, I will keep

    I live

Understanding how to receive and to give

    I learn

With great hunger, I do yearn
