As infants we crawl on the floor

As children we become curious and explore

As adults we learn the importance of opening every door

Is it just human nature, or something else, that has us always seeking more?

We wonder what if feels like to fly so peacefully, like a dove

We long for the kind of love that fits us perfectly, hand in glove

Why is it, that at times we lose our way, and need someone to give us a shove?

In the spring we witness the blossoming colors and the promise of everything new

In the summer we live for those long hot nights and doing all that there is to do

In the fall, the harvest moon will call, school begins, and the lazy days are through

In the winter, the days grow shorter, the nights get colder, and we run from the flu
