Work is probably the most powerful ingredient, word, in my Alphabet Soup recipe.  It is a four letter word full of such promise and effect.  For our work can have great influence.  The ripple effect caused by great work holds the potential to touch so so many lives. 

Farmers work, cultivating the soil to prepare it to bare crops.  We nourish ourselves with the fruits of their physical labor.  Researchers work on new ways to fight and protect us from disease.  We reap healthier lives thanks to their efforts.  Teachers work on educating us in preparation of our futures.

Work is not always looked at as something to embrace.  It is often discussed as if it were a problem that needs escaping.  Our work needs to have purpose…fulfillment…. satisfaction.  We need it to be be more than just a paycheck.  

Seek work that is somehow connected to you, to who you are.  Find opportunities where you can use your personal experience.  Challenge yourself with jobs that require the type of knowledge you have.  Share your intellect in a career that changes the lives of others. 

Lean forward.  Exert energy.  Proceed along YOUR path.

Be purposeful in your work.  Do what you love……..

Be influential….  Have an effect…a voice.

Work for change!
